The advisory follows a recent instance of fraudulent recruitment communications being circulated in the name of the airport and its operator. Job seekers are strongly advised not to respond to, make any payment in connection with or share personal or financial information with anyone claiming to offer employment unless the authenticity of the communication has been independently verified through official GMR channels.
GMR Group and Vizag Airport do not charge candidates any fee at any stage of the recruitment process. No job is offered in exchange for any payment and candidates should not pay any individual, agency or intermediary claiming to facilitate employment opportunities at the airport. The airport further clarifies that it does not conduct walk-in interviews for recruitment. All genuine job vacancies are published only through the official GMR Group Careers website: https://www.gmrgroup.com/careers > https://careers.gmrgroup.in/, and candidates are required to apply or submit their applications through the official recruitment platform only. All the recruitment-related communication is sent only through official GMR email addresses only.
Accordingly, any recruitment offer, interview call, appointment letter or other employment-related communication received through unauthorised email addresses, WhatsApp, social media, personal phone numbers or other unauthorised channels should be treated as potentially fraudulent and should not be entertained.Job seekers are particularly urged to remain vigilant against individuals or agencies claiming to guarantee employment, interviews or appointment letters at Bhogapuram Airport, Vizag Airport or Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport in exchange for money or any other consideration. Candidates should not transfer funds or share bank account details, OTPs, passwords or other sensitive personal or financial information in response to such communications.
The airport also cautions that fraudsters may use the GMR name, logo, branding, forged appointment letters, offer letters and other official-looking documents to make fraudulent communications appear genuine. The use of such logos or documents does not establish the authenticity of a recruitment offer.
