Overview of Kamalanga Thermal Power Plant
Commissioned in phases from March 2013, the Kamalanga Thermal Plant is strategically located near the coal belt with fuel linkages through Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited.
Power is supplied under long-term and medium-term Power Purchase Agreements with Grid Corporation of Odisha (GRIDCO), Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (UHBVNL), Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO), and Bihar State Electricity Board (BSEB), with boiler, turbine and generator equipment sourced from SEPCO, China, and the plant is certified under ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.
