Tamil Nadu Wind Plant
GMR Power and Urban Infra Limited operates a wind power plant with a gross installed capacity of 1.25 MW located in Muthayampatty Village, Tirupur district, Tamil Nadu, India. The plant began commercial operations in December 2011 and supplies its entire output to Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO) under a long-term Power Purchase Agreement. As part of GMR’s wind portfolio, it contributes clean, grid-connected renewable energy to Tamil Nadu’s state network.
