Power For A Growing Nation, With Responsibility

We believe infrastructure has the power to transform economies and enable national growth. Across power, highways, and urban infrastructure, GPUIL is driving the energy transition, advancing smart infrastructure, and delivering long-term value.
Building Sustainability into Every Project
GPUIL integrates ESG principles from the ground up through robust, ISO-certified systems across environment, energy, and water management. From zero liquid discharge units to smart metering initiatives, these measures conserve resources, improve efficiency, and strengthen resilience—setting new benchmarks in sustainable infrastructure.
Prioritising Safety, Quality, and Reliability
Safety and quality are central to how GPUIL operates. The Warora and Kamalanga plants have received the British Safety Council Sword of Honour and 5-Star Safety Awards for zero-harm culture. Supported by strong digital integration and industry best practices, GPUIL continues to safeguard its people and assets.
Advancing Energy Security and Transition
GPUIL continues to operate its power plants to support national energy security while advancing the energy transition through initiatives such as smart energy meters under the Energy 2.0 strategy. These efforts reflect a balanced approach to energy access, efficiency, and conservation.
Impacting Communities through GMRVF
In line with our Chairman’s belief, for GPUIL, progress is meaningful only when it is shared with its stakeholders. In FY2024-25,we positively impacted ~ 70,000 people, with over 95% from vulnerable communities across education, healthcare, skills, and livelihoods. We created sustainable impact, enabling communities to thrive alongside our business.
Governance Rooted in Integrity
Integrity underpins how GPUIL operates across its businesses and culture. Dedicated teams for Ethics and Integrity, Risk Management, and continuous Board oversight ensure that integrity remains central to decision-making across strategy, ESG, capital allocation, business operations, and long-term growth.
Shaping a Sustainable Tomorrow
GPUIL is focused on scaling energy supply while advancing digital optimisation and sustainability. Guided by India’s Green Energy vision and global sustainability goals, we are working towards a future that is reliable, innovative, and environmentally responsible.
